H.E. Ambassador Tsegab Kebebew spoke at the Panel discussion hosted by the Geneva Graduate Institute and Co-convened by the Global Monitoring and Preparedness Board and the Pandemic Action Network held on today, 17 April 2024 in Geneva.

During the discussion Amb Tsegab underlined the necessity for a pandemic treaty that would fulfil the mission and expectation of operationalizing equality, address the lessons acquired from the COVID-19 pandemic and current health catastrophes, and improve global preparedness.

He emphasised how this agreement would present a chance to demonstrate the strength of health diplomacy and multilateralism, the necessity of international cooperation and cross-border multilateral solutions, and the urgent need to address global health security.

More than 550 people have participated in the event both in person and virtually.
